7 Tips to Keep Your Kitchen Organized

!±8± 7 Tips to Keep Your Kitchen Organized

Many of us enjoy cooking, but we like to do it quickly and efficiently and move on to other things in our busy lives. A key to doing this is keeping the kitchen neat, tidy and organized.

It's tempting for a busy professional to think that he or she does not have the time to keep her kitchen organized. In fact, a disorganized kitchen makes life harder. It makes daily cooking and cleaning much more time-consuming.

There are a number of simple tricks and shortcuts you can utilize to keep your kitchen in order. The order of the day overall is to keep things simple and where you need them.

1. Hang Those Pots and Pans

How many of us spend several minutes per day rooting through cabinets looking for that sauce pan or that specific favorite skillet? This is a big time waster. If it is possible, cut down on this problem by hanging your saucepans and skillets on the wall. Or, hang a rack or hooks from the ceiling and suspend the cookware overhead.

Hang the cookware near the stove where you use them all the time, so they are within reach. Keeping the pots and pans within reach of where you need them most is such a neat way to save time.

It is not always possible to hang those lids up, but you can put them in a wire dish strainer in a cupboard under the counter.

2. Rearrange Your Appliances

What are the two appliances you use every day? For many of us, they are the coffee maker and the blender. Keep those two your counter top, but stow away less frequently used appliances in cabinets that are within reach when you need them.

3. Put Your Favorite Utensils Out

Keeping all of your cooking utensils in a drawer can be a real time drainer. You always have to search through the drawer to find that spatula or wooden spoon. Buy a decorative jar of some kind and put it on your counter. Place your most commonly used spoons, spatulas, tongs, ladles, etc. in the jar. It is surprising how much time you can save by just grabbing what you need on the fly.

4. Have a Shopping List Handy at All Times

Nothing wastes time better than to get back from the store and realize you forget three things. The best way to solve this problem is to put a paper pad with a magnet on the back on the fridge. Any time you think of something you need, jot it on the list. Forgetting to buy groceries will be a thing of the past!

5. Hang the Pot Holders

Hanging pot holders on the wall near the stove and microwave is the way to go. They are always within arm's reach when you need them most.

6. Organize Your Pantry

Keep lots of staple items on hand. Also, put all the similar products on one part of the shelf together. Small plastic boxes from Tupperware or Rubbermaid are good to keep your spices organized. No more searching through the pantry for this or that spice.

7. Take an Inventory of Your Whole Kitchen

We often think we do not have enough space in our kitchen. Often, the biggest problem is that space is taken up by items that we rarely use. Look in your drawers and cupboards closely. Do you have pans, utensils and appliances that you use less than once a month? Get a couple of large boxes and store them in the basement in a place you can easily find them.

You should only store items in the kitchen that you use on at a daily or weekly basis. Beyond that, store it. This is a really good way to clear the clutter in your kitchen.

By following these 7 simple steps, your kitchen will be more organized and you will have more time for family and your other daily tasks.

Euro-Pro Shark VX63

!±8± Euro-Pro Shark VX63

I recently bought a vacuum cleaner but I have to return it after since it was not working well than I expected. The store has a good return policy and because of this I told the manager I would get another one. I started looking for more styles and landed with Euro-Pro Shark VX63. This vacuum definitely stands out from the rest. All others are quite expensive and fortunately this one is slightly over 1200 square feet. Another good thing about Euro-Pro Shark VX63 is the fact that it's cordless.

I find Euro-Pro Shark VX63 to be glamorous because of its silver grey color. I love the fact that it is not heavy so there is not much effort when I push it around. If you have a dog or cat, then this machine would make your home hairless. The battery of Euro-Pro Shark VX63 is at the bottom and you need to charge it for 24 hours before using it. You need to properly insert the cord to the base of the battery. A light will turn on when you are doing it correctly. The battery is made up of Nicd so it is advisable to put the battery in the charger if not in use. Don't charge unless the battery is completely drained.

Assembling the Euro-Pro Shark VX63 is quite easy. There is a stick vac where you need to put the clicker brush in place and after attached the expandable handle. This feature can be used for adjusting the height and there is a latch lock to secure it in place. With Euro-Pro Shark VX63, you have the option to select the hand vac mode. You can transform it into a hand held vacuum. This is good for small clean up.

The Euro-Pro Shark VX63 is a vacuum with simple design. Unlike traditional vacuum that uses bags, this has dust cup and filters. They are made from foam that needs to be cleaned regularly. Remember that it should be replaced every three months. When emptying the dust cup, you need to turn it off. Push the release button and then twist. Empty it on your garbage can. This is quite convenient and very clean. The swivel head can work around furniture, carpet, wood and tile. If you have a small place then this machine is perfect for your home even if they are made from variety of materials.

!±8± How Pantry Door Spice Racks Can Fix Your Spice Storage Problems

The problem of space seems ubiquitous, affecting every aspect of our quiescent lives. But it's not the lack of space in our personal life that I'm kvetching about here. The stoic calm has more to do with the Tsunami-like madness that has engulfed my drawers and shelves in the cramped kitchen. Cooking with limited countertop space is more arduous than one can imagine.

In such trying times, pantry door spice racks are my only succor.

Tremendous Versatility

If you have a pantry door that is empty, then a few mounting screws is all that you need to attach these very versatile vertical spice storage systems to it. A look around stores will help you find racks with slots that adjust to the size of the spice jars. So the height of the jars is not that much of a concern. The racks are fitted without any kind of shelf interruptions on the inside of the pantry door with the help of a double-sided tape. Just store your spices in glass or acrylic jars, and they are sure to become the cynosure of all eyes.

Style With Substance

There are no binary perceptions about the fact that it's really hard to find such a durable and nifty solution for holding not just spice jars, but also bottles, soft drinks, wines and more. Style-savvy homeowners have plenty to make a song and dance about here.

The plethora of elegant designs leave no stone unturned in adding that touch of class to just about any décor. Handcrafted spice racks are sure to leave onlookers completely transfixed. But if you are looking for something to get your creative juices flowing, then try creating your very own custom built magnetic spice rack at home. All it takes are a few spice tins, spice labels, an adhesive magnetic strip and loads of creativity, and voila, your masterpiece is ready.

So let's hear it for this durable, stylish and rather indispensible spice racks.
